The Crosswicks Cemetery Association was originally formed 1874 -1875 by seven certificate holders who all were local citizens. They were Enoch Middleton, Benjamin Rogers, Charles Satterthwaite, Stacy Taylor, Joseph Hendrickson, and George Middleton. The cemetery was incorporated under a New Jersey statute that had been approved in March 1851 and its original By-Laws were printed in 1875.
Over time the areas west of the cemetery have experienced both residential and commercial growth while the areas east and south have maintained a suburban and rural atmosphere. The cemetery is now bordered on three sides by preserved agricultural lands. The grounds are well maintained and reflect the beauty and quietness of a rural country cemetery.
The cemetery continues to operate with an interest to provide sensitive and caring service for all and in compliance with all New Jersey regulations.
